I have an application that processes orders from multiple online marketplaces (half.com, amazon, yahoo, etc). Half and Yahoo use ftp for getting order files and upload inventory. I built the "module" for Half.com some time ago using CFFTP and all has been dandy. No problems. Scheduled tasks run and life is good.
When I was building the Yahoo module, I couldn't get CFFTP to connect to their ftp server. I gage up and ended up using the tag CFX_FTP for my gets and it has been ok. I miss the ability to get directory listings, but unlike half, I can predict what the yahoo order filenames will be so it's not so bad, just not as self-sufficient as I would like. Early last night, my ftp'ing to Half.com stopped working. Order files weren't coming in and the confirm files weren't going out. I talked to their tech department and while they say just changed servers, etc, they say their ftp daemon is exactly the same. So I don't know why cfftp broke. I'm using CF5 on a Win2k box and I can use the command line FTP client with no problem connecting to their server. Soooooo, I've spent the last several hours using variations of CFFTP, CFX_FTP and another tag, CFX_FTPTransfer, but nothing is working. CFX_FTPTransfer seems to be locked in PASSIVE mode and half's tech dept says only active is supported. CFX_FTP isn't working either for some reason I can't decipher and of course, CFFTP isn't working. CFFTP is failing on DIR LISTINGS and PUTS and getting 0 byte files for GETS. What has happened? What can I do? I'm at a loss. Are there any dos commandline scriptable ftp clients?
