Even though you can get the cold fusion server to access files on a shared drive, by running cold fusion in an administrator account or some other user, this does not help for cfcontent because cfcontent runs in the context of the stub, in other words, it runs as the iis user and it is a lot more difficult to get it to access files on a share.
