Try something like this.
First use the datediff method to find the minutes, which would be the
time variable.
<cfset time="65">
<cfset time = time / 60>
<cfif time contains ".">
<cfset hours = listfirst(time,".")>
<cfset minutes = round(val("." & listlast(time,".")) * 60)>
<cfelse>
<cfset hours = time>
<cfset minutes = 0>
</cfif>
#hours# hours and #minutes# minutes

Subject: RE: Proper output of elasped DateTime value
Hello again,
I am not sure to see how to apply this function. At first, I thought I
did.
Well, I see how it can work for one DateTime value, but I am evaluating
the
DateDiff between the current time and time elapsed. How do I apply your
function to show something like:
Current Output:
Assigned Date: 30-Jan-02 08:55 AM (form variable)
Current Date: 30-Jan-02 02:23 PM (current ODBCDateTime)
Difference of: 5 hrs, 328 min (5 hrs, 28 min)
Obviously the 328 minutes is not correct, should say 28 min. Just need a
little more guidance.
Thanks.

I attached a UDF that formats in h:m:s. that will do the trick. I posted
it on cflib, but it wasn't validated yet.
If you have the time in minutes, you can call it like
#hmsformat(mytime,"m","HH:MM")# to display it in hours and minutes.

Subject: Proper output of elasped DateTime value
I have got a piece of code that calculates the current DateTime from a
DateTime in the past. I want to display the elapsed total in both hours
and
minutes. When the value goes above 1 hour it displays 1 hr, 60 min
instead
of 1 hr, 0 min. How do I get it to correctly show that?
Current code:
#Abs(DateDiff("h", get_date.sdate1, CreateODBCDateTime(Now())))#
hrs,
#Abs(DateDiff("n", get_date.sdate1, CreateODBCDateTime(Now())))#
min
