I agree with these comments and offer another point: Studying for certification is a good refresher for any developer, no matter how experienced. We all get used to tackling problems certain ways. Preparing for cert re-indtroduces us to all of the nooks and crannys of the language, and you might learn about a couple of tags that you weren't aware of.
