Thanks, managed it with this. <cfsavecontent> wrapped round
the <html> tags, followed by

<cfoutput>#allHTML#</cfoutput>
<cffile action="WRITE" file="D:\_test\validate.html" output="#allHTML#">

A bit fiddly to turn on and off when developing, but does the
trick nevertheless :)
