Yes, that is what I mean by complex data types. I would continue to pass the token in the URL if you are uncertain about setting cookies.
The solution I have gone with in an instance like this is to write all of my variables in the Request scope and then in the OnRequestEnd.cfm convert t he Request scope to WDDX and save it as a Client variable. Then in the Application.cfm deserialize the WDDX back to the Request scope.
