I had that same problem last year when I was developing a lot of CFX java files - I ended up having to restart the server every time I wanted CF to reload. I was using 4.5.1 enterprise.

Anyone who has found a solution to ColdFusion not using the new compiled classes ? I have recompiled my .java but ColdFusion is *not* giving me any updates.. I've tried using the reload="always" attribute and my files are located in the classes directory.
