Hello all, Fairly new to the list -- mostly lurk about reading stuff... However, I have a "community" question to pose.
First off, I would consider myself a old hacker with mid-advanced CF developer skills. I have also worked in ASP, PERL, C++(WIN32), MS-SQL, and real old stuff like Clipper... I have a large client that is "questioning" the homegrown development of CF applications (both intranet content management and store admin as well as a minimal shopping cart system). I have recently (last 6 months), taken over as project lead and oversaw the redevelopment and release their updated store. The pointy haired boss is looking at the magic 8 ball and wants to "outsource everything" to the "enterprise level" Microsoft Commerce Server and the associated MS solution provider down the street. The big deal is that MS Commerce is, apparently, easy, FAST, and LOTS OF TURNKEY FUNCTIONS that they want or "might" want to add later... Is there any cart system, commerce program, or ANYTHING at *any price* in CF that is that turn-key and expandable? I have looked at AbleCommerce and others... Any ideas?
