No, not really. It can make it harder to figure out what's going wrong, though, because you can't use a lot of the free recording proxies out there to read the HTTPS requests and responses. Typically, I've used the recorder provided with SilkPerformer to read HTTPS traffic from an endpoint, but that's far from free. The JMeter tool from Apache (http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/) can handle HTTPS, but I haven't used it before.
