I think you'd need to use cfsavecontent to first save it to a variable, like
this:
<cfsavecontent variable="myFile">
<cfinclude template="">
</cfsavecontent>
<cfset newContent = Replace(myFile,...)>
<cfoutput>#newcontent#</cfoutput>

Subject: Using Replace() to replace "hard returns" on <cfinclude>
Hello there,
I have a text file that I want to include in a page, but I would like to
replace() all the hard returns in it first. Can I do all in one line? for
example:
<cfoutput> #replace(<cfinclude template="... >, ... )# </cfoutput>
TIA
