no soup.

i uninstalled, rebooted, tested. nope.

then i rebooted again. nope.

the only difference that i can see between the two architectures is that
SP3 is on the SQL box that doesn't work, and vanilla SQL 7 is on the one
that does.

just Enterprise Manager should register that component. Did you
reboot?
Try reinstalling it if rebooting doesn't work.

i have a question about this as well.

i did as you suggested for one set of my servers. (it's a colocated
pair for one of my clients).

worked fine.

i figured, "bully for me", and installed EM on our other server (the
one
for the REST of my clients), as one of my clients needs this
functionality.

i get "COM error 0x80040154. Class not registered" as an error.

do i need to install any particular component of SQL Server? i
intalled
EM, DTC, and Conflict Viewer (since you CAN'T not install that...:)

this is on a Win2K SP2 machine, just like the one that worked.

you need to install enterprise manager on the machine running CF.....
and
have network access and proper permissions on the machine running SQL
Server
in order to make the CF Comet code work.

I'm trying to get a dts to run on my sql server 7 box. I use the
example
from cfcomet, however since I actually have my sql server on a seperate
machine, how can I access the com object? I'm just lost...

Marcus
