If ID is an autonumber it is a numeric-type column, putting quotes around
it
in any language will cause you problems.
Instead of
> sqltext="Select * from EMAIL WHERE ID='" & varID & "';"
why dont you try
sqltext="Select * from EMAIL WHERE ID=" & varID & ";"
