There's a good amount of info on this in the macromedia cf support forum, so I won't go into the nitty gritties until you read all the mess about it there. We just gave up and decided to place the class directly into each directory where we run it and we have to go to the user's machine and install the JVM manually most times. This is okay because we're only using it in a few places. Most of our problems came from the JVM not loading, when we upgraded. I can tell you this, however ... I won't ever be using the CFGrid function again. What a mess.
