I don't have my JavaScript references with me, but I don't think you can do
this type of file operation, because it would pose tremendous security
risks.  However, you can easily add a link on your page to add a favorite,
for what it's worth.  Here's a reference:

Hi Eric,

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that you cannot do this via
ColdFusion (well, not unless ColdFusion is running locally).  You can
however do it using Macromedia Director with the Buddy API Xtra.

Again, I haven't had to try this and I could be wrong.
