correct, if you are referring to them being visible to the person following the links. 
 however, they are sent through an encrypted pipe, so those sniffing the network see 
the "encrypted" version.

I could use some clarification on SSL.

If I create a link with url parameters, are the url parameters SSL
encrypted?

ex: https://www.domain.com/xyz.cfm?x=1234&y=5678

I was under the impression that the urls params generated from a link were
not SSL encrypted.
