If you're using Win2K and IIS 5, you can use the WebDAV utility to do this. Check out msdn.microsoft.com for more info on how to implement it, but it's not that hard. I can't speak knowledgeably about other platforms/web servers as far as this topic goes, so I won't even speculate.
