I have the exact same problem you do, except my bosses won't allow me to go a different route. (We already spent the money, so we are going to use it.)
I was looking at intelliview not too long ago and it looks pretty interesting. The only drawback is that there is a client that needs to be installed. I talked with a sales rep and they had mentioned there was a browser plug-in that was in beta. You may want to give them a look. (They are much cheaper too, by the way) http://www.intelliview.com Good Luck! -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, April 09, 2002 5:11 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: I need printable reports in browser from Oracle (must be an alter native to Crystal#!@?#!!? There must be a good reporting tool out there. At the moment we use Crystal to produce them and it's active-x viewer app to display and print them. But Crystal is a dog, that f----s up every server we have installed it on and you have to install on the web server to get the viewer to work, despite the fact that you're not supposed to need to. Plus it's inflexible and limited in terms of the reports it produces. Short of writing reports in CF and using something to turn them into PDF's, what else is there? There must be something? Please tell me there's any easy answer to this. **************************************************************************** ****** The opinions expressed in this E-mail are those of the individual and not necessarily the company.
