You simply have to enable viewing of the system tables: Tools->Options->View

This seems to be what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I get this: "Record(s) cannot be read; no read permission on 'MSysObjects'." THWARTED AT EVERY TURN! Clearly, Access has a will of it's own and it wants me to have a bad day. But I'll show it. I'll just tell my boss we're going to do this on a weekend instead of today. We have the least hits on Saturday.
