Somewhere in the MS KB (which so far I can't find) I read that you need to be an owner of the MS Office Developer Edition in order to legally deploy MSDE on a web server. Everything I've found so far makes no mention of this.

It is SQL Server, essentially, with some minor limitations. I've worked with it quite a bit, and like it for use instead of Access.<< I (mistakenly?) understood it only worked in a 'desktop' environment, running in the background of, say a VB app. Is that wrong? -Craig Thomas ______________________________________________________________________ Signup for the Fusion Authority news alert and keep up with the latest news in ColdFusion and related topics. http://www.fusionauthority.com/signup.cfm FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
