Just got a call from Macromedia. They have changed there mind on charging
me for the advice of the custom tag and are documenting the problem of
cfgrid and JDK 1.4.0. But if anybody has help on the cf_tree I would
appreciate it.

Thanks
David

Subject: cf_tree custom tag

Cfgrid is fixed but now I'm having a problem with the cf_tree. It seems
that a couple of the parameters have changed in the custom tag.
(queryasroot and expand) am getting an error telling me that they need to
be Boolean and it can not convert the current value. If I set them both to
just yes I don't get an error but I get an empty tree like it's not using
the query= . I was wondering it anybody has a sample or the changes I
needed to make to cf_treeitem below to work like cftreeitem.

> This hole change on the applets is one big pain xxx. I finally called
macromedia because of the cfgrid being broken and not passing form.grid.var
to the action pages. They told me my JDK is to new 1.4.0. There answer
was move all clients to an older version (like I have control over this)
but not to old of JDK or use the custom tag. And now they want to charge me
250.00 for telling me this :(. To me I will pay 250.00 when I can use the
cfgrid as before the upgrade to 5.0. Everything was fine in 4.5 It just
does not seem right to upgrade to 5.0 then make patches to revert back to
4.5 as there answer to the problem. Using the custom tag is no problem and
works better then 5.0 but then to ask my to pay 250.00 to tell me to go back
to 4.5 controls just kills me. Other then that
> 5.0 has been good. I should have just listened to the list here and cut
my losses and used the custom tag when the problem showed up then trying fix
it.
