No. For security reasons CF doesn't allow this. You might be able to allow
CFFILE to default to A: drive when the user clicks on the browse button in
an upload form

Subject: How to read from client's a: drive automatically??

hi
Does anyone knows how i can read a .txt file from client's a: drive
automatically? if i cannot read the file, the whole
file retrieval operation will be aborted. I understand the CFFILE
action="read" is only for reading of file residing in the server's machine.
So what other method can i use then?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
