PKI to my knowledge stands for public key infrastructure and it is just an overall blanket term like Web Services. Unless this is some companys marketing guys trying to co-opt a stardard acronym... Indiviual pki type standards include SSL, TLS, PGP, S/Mime, etc etc. So I guess the short answer to your question is yes. Any reccomendations would require more information though...
