Perhaps a 'business' solution to this problem would be better than a
technical solution.  He should make it crystal clear that any copyright
infringement will simply not be tolerated.  Even if a competitor did get
their hands on this "help book" thing, they would be hard pressed to
actually make public use of it without getting their pants sued all over the
place.
