Question for the experts.
When I read the CFMX docs about JRun and J2EE
CFMX as now available includes:
1 CFMX Server
2. the J2EE Infrastructure Services, provided by a special
(stripped down?) version of JRun
3. With this you can deploy CF applications
4. You can *Not* deploy JSP pages, Java Servelets, Beans, etc.
or any other J2EE Application server components on the
Stripped-down
JRun Server provided with CFMX
5. CFMX can interface the items in 4 if they are installed on another
J2EE Application server (JRun or third party)
6. Conceivably, you could end up running 2 versions of JRun.
A later version of CFMX will not include 1 above, but not 2. CFMX will
be installed on top of
a J2EE application server (the Full JRun product or a third-party J2EE
Application
server)
with this second environment , you can deploy and inter face CFMX
and J2EE components on a single
J2EE Application server.
In other words, you won't need to Run Full JRun and
Stripped-Down-JRun in order to get full J2EE deployment
capability
Whew!
Is this true?
Is there an easier way to say this?
TIA
Dick
