I tried this on the sql list, but as near as I can tell it never posted.
Is there a way to create a SQL Server database table from an .fmt file? It sure would be a lot easier than creating the tables from scratch. As a secondary note, after creating a few tables from scratch, I can't get get the bulk insert to work. It keeps telling me that "column is too long" in data file, row1, column 2. As a general note, I did not create the fmt file nor data file, they are being provided to me. In a worst case scenario, I could use cfhttp to create queries out of the files and then insert the data into the database one-by-one, but that sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. -- Jeffry Houser | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Need a Web Developer?
