Clearly I need a way to plant my toungue more firmly in cheek -- let's try this <ironic_grin> > > And now that CF tags are J2EE, you can simply decompile > > CFHTTP, tweak it, recompile it, and you're in business :) </ironic_grin> there -- much better. As an aside, Charlie Aerheart mentioned at CFUN02 that you can use the "" prefix in a CFIMPORT of custom JSP tags to override built-in HTML forms. So if you're not happy w/ the behavior of an HTML element you can rewrite it to your specs. Didn't try it, but that's pretty wicked (and insane) code. > > I started working with server-side Java because ASP had > > no reliable equivalent to CFHTTP for SSL connections (not > > that CFHTTP is that great for SSL either). We had spent well over $1000 for a set of commercial ones that worked on 75% of our servers -- all were identical models and ghosted builds. Company bagged out on support after their techs couldn't glean anything from a trace. The mabry ones look great (we did this 2 years ago) -- thanks for the tip. Would/do you use it through COM instead of CFHTTP? john paul > Dave Watts, CTO, Fig Leaf Software > http://www.figleaf.com/ > voice: (202) 797-5496 > fax: (202) 797-5444 > ______________________________________________________________________ Your ad could be here.
