on the macr. site there is an article about passing a couple of extra attributes to the cfreport tag to make it work with 8, but i could not get it to work with 8.5.. the only version i have to try it with.
however, if you go to http://www.tbcfug.org and look in the "cool files" section you will find a cf custom tag that calls a vb wrapper.. basically it exports the report to any of a variety of formats (pdf, xls, etc) and then sends it to the browser via cfcontent.
