OK....I can get the correct custom tag to show up if I use cfmodule, but that still doesn't solve why my custom tag is using the phantom files.
(Yes, cf admin setting for the custom tag path is C:\CFusionMX\CustomTags and is the only one) -----Original Message----- From: Ryan Kime [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, June 25, 2002 3:35 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: Caching issues Alright, having some problems and need help. Environment: ColdFusion MX, XP Pro, IE6 & N6.2 I used cfcache for some clientcache testing (low flush rate: 3 minutes), and it was having problems displaying changes to my custom tags that were called in the index.cfm file. So I moved some of the custom tags to the local web directory because I thought it was having problems mapping to the CustomTags folder. Then when it showed the newest version of the custom tags when they were moved, I put them back to the CustomTags directory. Well, here's the problem: it stills sees those custom tags in the local directory even though they are not there! I can type the URL to the phantom files where they used to be and it will display them, even though you look in the directory and they are not there. And my index.cfm file is referencing the phantom custom tags!!! Yikes! I have deleted Temp Files and restarted both CF and my machine, but they still show up. I have even searched for a code-specific comment on my machine that is only displayed in the phantom files (something like "..dfdf...--->"). I have also looked through support.micorosoft.com and cannot find a resolution. Anyone have any suggestions? -Ryan ______________________________________________________________________ Signup for the Fusion Authority news alert and keep up with the latest news in ColdFusion and related topics. http://www.fusionauthority.com/signup.cfm FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
