i use it for ease of use...

on a standard page all my cfcode that does not affect the HTML gets 
created at the top of the page...

so i could create a structure or something at the top.. then when i come 
  to output that structure further down the page then splitter comes in 
handy so i can see how i created the structure... as ive got one of the 
worst memories in the world :(
