I think this discrepancy is to do with whether or not the MSXML parser has
been installed in 'side-by-side' or 'replace' mode. There's a useful tool
for working out which version you have installed at:
http://www.vbxml.com/parsers/sniffer/default.asp
Of course, you'll need to access this page from your server, not from your
workstation!
