I am creating a flash application that interacts with a server.  The flash application is a projector app that runs on the client computer where as the coldfusion is obviously on the server.   Heres the deal.  I want the flash application to interact with the coldfusion server via XML (got that part down) but.  I want the flash application to back up some of the data on the local harddrive of the client computer.  My question is 2 fold. 1) can flash create xml files and edit them (or text if not XML? if not can i have a standalone VBScript that will interact with the flash projector and create XML files (or text files) and edit them.  The flash projector is running standalone (no browser).  and all the client computers will be windows machines.
