my personal opinion is that pre-CFMX you are better of sticking with WDDX.
It was and is a technology which was cut down before it could really make
some inroads.. It is still pretty complete and useful.

What are you trying to accomplish?

wddx has some pretty specific problems that it can help solve...  it all
depends on what you are trying to do.
