============================================================ What happened last year?? ============================================================ Well we are at the start of a new year and its time to start thinking CFUG again. Unfortunately last year was a little dismal as numbers weren't there for meetings. I heard good things about the MMUG group participation but then the manager decided to go awall which was a shame.
============================================================ What's happening this year?? ============================================================ I am still heading up things down here in Victoria and I am pretty excited about what's to come. The merger between Macromedia and Adobe as opened up allot of avenues for presentations, products and demos not only locally, but maybe even OS via breeze, something that we haven't really got into yet. I have called it Colfusion Design and Development User Group (CDDUG). The group will cover both development and design aspects of building websites and will also encompass the Adobe products. ============================================================ What can we expect?? ============================================================ Some things to look forward to this year are presentations and maybe even workshops on :- - CF7 - FLEX - Flash Remoting - Flash AS2 - Flash Components - Flash Com now Media Server - Photoshop - Dreamweaver - Flash Video - OOP Principals - Copywrite and IP law - ........and more maybe even a game of twister:P have to distribute the goodies some how :) I am pushing up on books as well to cover not only the classic MM products, but also Photoshop products as well as java so hopefully the meetings will be allot more rounded. ============================================================ When does it all start again?? ============================================================ I am hoping to have the first meeting in Feb as there are allot of people still away and getting back into the work thing. As well as the meetings I am hoping top maybe organise drinks nights or something just to chill, network and be merry :) ============================================================ How do I join up now?? ============================================================ Seeing as daemon don't have the list server anymore I am guessing the user group lists are not on there any more either so anyone looking to join up again I have set up a list for the group. Anyone wishing to join and be notified of the groups meeting sent an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "subscribe" in the subject line.
