Some hosting companies have either a second hosting server for running cf7 or they have cf enterprise which allows running all versions of cf concurrently on the same server. Perhaps it might be a good idea to see what you hosting company can offer you that area as, depending on the final solution you end up going with, it could be less effort to switch to 7 and use reports rather than implementing your own solution.
