Ok I did say correct me if I am wrong, and you did do that:-) What I got confused with was the road map said business and made the assumption of the server being released first. I think that is interesting that businesses will get Vista before the average folk, wonder what marketing strategy M$ have there?
All beta software is good to have a play with sooner than later, but in all reality unless you have the time to sit down and play and play and play then its not something a company like Adobe/Macromedia would do, as stated because it is beta and things could change, I know for one I would not waste time in developing my next release on a beta version, and waste my money to recode the changes because the RC changed the way things worked. It's just common sense, from a business perspective and we can't change that. However, if someone wishes to get CF running on Vista now and spend the heartache that Adobe are going to do eventually that's all fine. After all it is their time that they are using up to have this play. My comments earlier are based on the fact that I installed Vista as a VM, and as a separate boot option because it as a VM I can just delete the files if I have too, and as separate boot option I still have the ability to go back to a normal development environment. In no way was I being funny, or having a go at Mark, except to be realistic in his expectations. I went through the same thing when M$ sql server 2005 was in beta, and to this day the native adobe DB drivers still do not support Sql server 2005 as I stated.
