When I do search one of the options is for enclosing
projects, this searches the entire project, I just tested it. Eclipse 3.2 From:

I don't believe there currently is the ability to do a global search and
replace. If anyone knows different please point out where, but I have
been able to get it to work - only the CTRL+H search allows working with
