Robin, I disagree. The main reason all these companies are going to .NET is because of advertising. Its the people at the top that make the decesion. We can recommend till the cows come home. But if they decide that MS giving them money to develop in their language which would YOU choose as a business. Case in point Universities.
Second point. Suggesting that CF server go free only solves PART of the problem. I understand that Adobe need to make money. My point is that MS is doing very well at how they have structured their pricing module. Thus the cost for running our applications are upon ourselves and not the customer. DONT get me wrong i Lurve CF. I have wet dreams about it. BUT I keep on having nightmares about learning .NET soon.
