I suspect MelbourneIT tell themselves the same thing IBM and XEROX
people say ... "People are paying extra for the confidence of knowing
they are dealing with a reliable and reknowned leader in this
industry. People know ...." (and i actually saw a NCR guy saying
this in a demo once ) "... that the quality goes IN ..." (gesture
pointing into the machine) ".... before the badge goes ON" (gesture to
the NCR badge).

In other words, I think they tell themselves they are so renowned in
the domains business that people will gladly pay lots more just to
konw they are dealing with the best.

What rubbish but if enough people are paying the $140 maybe it's a
fair enough strategy. I like it because it means I can look good to
my clients when I tell them their domains are up for renewal, they can
renew at $140 with MelbourneIT, or they can transfer to my company and
I'll charge them $66.

Hell, I even have domains for $2.87 a year!!
