Max, it's not really a reasonable question to ask. There are a bazillion choices for just about everything you are asking about, and the best for you will depend on a lot of factors.
What you're best to do is to plan on spending a few weeks in temporary accommodation, and talk to locals when you get here. New Zealand and Australia are very similar but the differences between the countries are quite subtle and not always easy to see. When we came here in 1981 we stayed in a serviced apartment for 6 weeks and I'm glad we did - if we'd have dived in and bought the things we thought we'd need on the first couple of weeks we'd have made lots of bad choices. And some of the answers to the things you're asking about might be determined for you by the place you go to live in. For example if the place you rent has an existing account with a provider of somethign it might be best for you to simply continue it. I know you want to get started on settings stuff up but i strongly suggest you wait till you get here for some of those things.
