Well, depends on your setup but you may also have to get insurance etc as
well. (costs about 1k a year or something like that from memory).

You could also use a company called myITG.com, essentially that take a % of
your income (think from memory its around 3%) and in return they handle all
the invoicing, tax etc.

I used them many moons ago when I did some work for a client. They will
handle all the insurance cover(s) for up to $10million I think (forget
specifically how it goes, suffice to say if your a code-warrior for hire,
and doing it off your ABN, corps may want you to be insured in case you cost
them $millions in damages accidently).

The catch though is from memory I think you also have to transfer the
contract over to myITG. In that they become the contract owners, and
subcontract it back to you. Yet if the employer in question hired you,
chances are if you leave they'll terminate the contract anyway with myITG.?
