There are two approaches to this feature. You can use LiveCycle Designer to create a PDF template that contains a valid XDP document with an XFA template. The PDF file that acts as the shell for the XDP and XFA data and contains the necessary pre-rendered AcroForm for display in Adobe Acrobat 7. Alternatively, for Acrobat 8 clients only, you can use a raw XDP file; this requires a valid LiveCycle Data Services license.
