I loved every single moment of this conference. It by far has been my favourite trip/geek fest all year.. and keep in mind my company hired out Universal Studios + Free Beer.. so that's a benchmark... that and I spent 3-4 days in Vegas .. again.. tough benchmark.
Two things i loved about this conference. - Adobe & Microsoft shared a beer and we both had awesome conversations with attendees. I personally went in with the belief that "check the brand at the door" and focus on the topics. Although Matt and I exchanged a few jabs over a polite beer but it was more of a pi%%take :) - Quality vs Quantity. Grant said it perfectly, while the numbers weren't excessive it was a quality conversation vs quantity. People had to travel out of their way to attend and it kind of filtered back the "I'm here because I'm bored and the company is paying" attendees. I'll be attending next year and I can highly recommend it, as it was an absolute blast. That and Snow Boarding was by far uber cool. I made it home just in time for Emily, and she's the perfect ending to a perfect week :) I wish to hell someone would pay Nectarine to keep these cartoons flowing.. once a month.. such an enormous amount of witty talent that are not only getting better (artwork wise is massive improvements) but funnier! :) On 8/27/07, Grant Straker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Good to hear Scott's a father again and all is well. > > There was never any doubt that he would make it ;-), he was actually > very well behaved although I didn't see his credit card out once > during the event, so he might be under a tighter raine these days.
