To be politically correct it is tortoise;-) But I think you are right as well, that it is because you have show hidden files as I have that on too. This also means that the .project file will be hidden too. Which is not a bad thing, cause technically one shouldn't put that in svn. Only really for team environments of course. But it doesn't hurt to get into a habbit. But filtering .* like Andrew suggested fixed it. As I said perhaps its because at the OS level I have view hidden files on.
