Best of luck with that...

Realistically - I don't think it would be a good idea - as much
as I'd love to see a dedicated ColdFusion conference. As Andy
was correctly stating in one of his comments - both Europe
and ANZ are significantly different markets for CF compared to
the US and I'm still of the opinion that Adobe has not understood
that yet - in both markets - so I'm not that sure how much support
you'd get for a dedicated CF conference down here.

I haven't been at CFUnited Europe so can't really say a lot about
it, but my impression from bloggers and voices I've heard from
Europe was that it apparently turned out to be much smaller and less
impressive than expected etc. Not sure what the reasons were, but I
think quite a few people regard CFUnited to be a very commercial
event (I'm not saying that it is, just observing here). Conferences
such as webDU or Scotch just have a different charm imho because there's
a community behind them and they "share the love".

If there really is a demand for more advanced CF topics/conferences
in ANZ, I'd rather suggest convicing Geoff to add a dedicated
cf.objective() track to webDU 2009 - mixed branding, yeah, but make
it one large event.

Also - if there is a demand for advanced CF topics, let's see if we
could organise some more ColdFusion-presentations in Adobe's
Friday afternoon developer talks.

Please, if anyone has any topic suggestions for those send me an email
offlist to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I'll have a look what we
could get setup.

Cheers,
Kai
