This awesome as I was experiencing the same problem and found that Steve's
regular expression worked out nicely. Thanks!

Subject: [cfaussie] ReReplaceNoCase - return only a decimal number

Hi,

Thanks, that does the trick.

Odd, this solution arrived at 4:43AM this morning, well out of synch with
the other replies.

Thanks all,

This should do the trick

REReplaceNoCase(string, "[^[:digit:]-\.]", "", "ALL")

Subject: [cfaussie] ReReplaceNoCase - return only a decimal number

Hi,

I would like to create an expression to remove all text and special
characters from a string, returning only a decimal-like looking number..

eg

$12,345.00 -> 12345.00
$+10.65 -> 10.65
$-5.65 = -5.65

etc

I suck at regular expressions....

Cheers,
