Adobe[1] has recently released the http://groups.adobe.com website as
the single point of contact for all Adobe supported user groups
locally and abroad.

User groups are a type of club focusing on the use of specific
technology [2] and provide:-

- resources, share information and techniques
- networking for jobs or socialising with like minded people
- help with problems
- skill development by providing short talks on topics and or hands on training
- see of who's doing what with the technology in ways you may not have
thought of or were aware you could do
- give the community the benefit of your expertise by giving talks,
presentations or tutorials
- meet regularly as a face-to-face resource for any or all of the above

Whilst this site[1] is still new and is constantly updated in both
functionality and new user groups, please hop on and see what Adobe
user groups are in your area and go along to the next meeting. If you
can't a user group in your area, post a query to this list in case
it's not listed or see if anyone would be interested in forming one in
your area. Alternatively, you attend one of the many online groups,
they're listed too.

If you are a regular member your local group, please help spread the
user group word by posting this (or variant) to any Adobe related
lists you subscribe to or post to your blog.

If you are a elapsed member of of your local group please help out in
some way, or at least try to be a regular member again.
