Basically, to do cfdocument, CF has a sort of internal browser, that it uses to capture the screen contents, and then render it out to PDF.
If the DNS server that the server is using, can't resolve the name of the computer to an IP address, the whole thing tends to hand pretty drastically. Get on the box, and try and ping the computer name... if it can't work out what it is, then this will be the issue.
