I am using SQL Server Manager to add an extra collum to an existing database table and when I proceed to save the changes I receive a message telling me the table I am editing is about to be saved to the database even though it already exists and has many thousand records contained within it
I have never come across this before so I am not sure if it is simply telling me its saving the change to the table structure or is it going to do overwrite my existing table which clearly I do not want it to do if this will cause me to loose my existing data.
