Well, I think that's the challenge with really trying to roll this around
the world. Your Friday afternoon at 4 NZ time is our midnight the night
before (I mistakenly said 10pm in an earlier thread). So to really have it
roll we would need someone else to bridge the gap of 16 hours if we wanted
to have ours at 4pm US Eastern time. Sure, if others wanted to, I'd
certainly carry the torch for the US (whether just the eastern zone or the
west, too, if they wanted to come on earlier in their day).

It may be way too late to try to hope to organize that this time. And now
that I see it's midnight my time, I'm afraid I won't likely be able to even
come hang out as I'd hoped. It's a great idea, though, whether just a single
group or perhaps later a rolling thing around the world. I wish you well
with it, and certainly am happy to help trying to get it going more broadly
if anyone's interested.

And imagine how cool it'd be to continue beer o'clock for brekkie Sat
morning when the Europeans

actually have their Friday night :)

it almost sounds like the round-the-world CF8 launch back in 2007. Lots of
ppl in Europe/UK inc the "Scotch on the rocks/road" guys.

Anyone in Asia and Europe interested? :-)

I just had a vision of a 24hr beer o'clock mexican wave, with the baton
being passed through the timezones.

Hi all,

here's the room link for Friday's virtual beer o'clock.

http://connectpro53389065.acrobat.com/beeroclock/

I'll open it around 4 pm NZ time, 2 pm East coast, noon <prost> WA :)

and when I'm leaving we'll promote a west coastie to meeting host.

No particular program, just hanging out, exchanging funny links and

maybe we can convince some people to show some cool stuff - but no

pressure :)
