Brett, by referring to me (in the original message in the thread) I suppose you 
may be
pointing to my list of alternatives for processing Excel files in CF
(http://www.carehart.org/cf411/#excel). Are you saying you've tried them all? 
Just
checking to know what options you've considered.

Back to Ben's, I've not used that one yet myself (my list is just a pointer to
alternatives, not a review or comment on them). But you say it has a "java 
object
error.". Are you familiar enough with using Java inside of CF to tell us if the
problem you're getting may be with simply being able to use *any* java inside 
of CF,
or more specifically whatever Java object it tries to use? There are various 
things
that can get in the way (like were you told to get some Java library, and if so 
did
you put it in the right place, configure things to find it if needed, and 
restart CF)?

Again, on my list I offer several choices that do not involve Java, if that's 
some
unique challenge there. Hope that helps.
